The Dolomites by sports car, in autumn.
When the motorcycle season ends, the Dolomites passes stay open and empty out. It's the best time to drive them in a sports car: cool air, low light, golden larches and clear hairpins. I lead in my BMW Z4, you follow in your own car.

How it works.
Guide only
You bring your own car and choose where to stay; I choose the road, the stops and the right time to find the passes clear.
Small groups
2 to 6 cars, guide included: few enough to stay together on the hairpins and stop where it's worth it.
When
Weekends in October and November 2026. Late in the season it can snow: with snow or ice we change the route or the date – safety first.
Which car
Any sports car, convertible or coupé. In autumn your tyres should be in good condition: in November many mountain roads require winter tyres or chains on board.
Frequently asked questions.
- Can you drive the Dolomites passes in a sports car in autumn?
- Yes. The main passes, such as Sella, Pordoi, Gardena, Campolongo, Falzarego and Giau, generally stay open in autumn, apart from temporary closures for snow. October is often the best month: little traffic and the colours of the larches.
- Which routes do you drive?
- Three: Le Sette Meraviglie Dolomitiche (164 km, 7 passes, green level), Ottovolante Dolomitico (269 km, 10 passes, blue) and Doppio Ottovolante Dolomitico (246 km, 10 passes, blue).
- How many cars are in a group?
- 2 to 6 cars, including the guide's.
- Do I need winter tyres?
- From 15 November many Italian mountain roads require winter tyres or chains on board; even before then, in cold weather, your tyres should be in good condition.
- How do I sign up?
- Through the waiting list form on the site, choosing the «Sports car · autumn 2026» format: we will write to you with the available dates.
